Cuttlebug

I love my Cuttlebug!!! I was on cloud nine when I finally purchased it. I like it much better then the Sizzix cutting system. I highly recommend the Cuttlebug to all stampers and scrappers. I came across this Cuttlebug review on another blog and I thought it was worth sharing! If you want to see the official Provocraft Cuttlebug video click here.

Below are last year's Halloween cards I made for my nephew and neice.

Snickers' Snowball Cookies

Another hobby of mine is cooking and baking. I have over 300 cookbooks!!! Whatever you do, please do not mention cookbooks to Marty ... as he always says "no more cookbooks!!!" I literally have to sneak the cookbooks into the house .... really! Anyhoot, not only do I love to collect recipes, I also love to share my favorite recipes with my family and friends. One of my favorite cookie recipe is the Snickers Snowballs ... yummy (or, as Rachel Ray would say, "YUMMO")! These fluffy treats look so real, you'll expect them to be ice-cold.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
2 cups flour
1 13 oz. bag SNICKERS® Brand Miniatures
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation:

Chop 1/2 cup of SNICKERS® Brand Miniatures.

Cream together the butter, 1/4 cup of confectioner's sugar and vanilla.

Slowly blend in the flour, nuts, and chopped SNICKERS® Brand Miniatures. Roll the dough into 1-1/2-inch balls.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 12-14 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Roll the cookies in the remaining cup of confectioner's sugar, completely covering them.

Makes about 25-30 cookies.

Enjoy and happy baking :o)

Get Well Card

This is a card I made for a friend who was very sick with a nasty cough, that she pulled her back and was laid up for a couple of weeks.

Front

Inside

Card Information:

I love to use chalk and was looking forward to using the pastel blue for the vase. I wanted something Spring-like to perk up my dear friend who was home sick and hasn't seen the outdoors for a number of days.

2007 Mother's Day Card

As promised, below is my Mother's Day card I made for my mommy this year. Being European, coffee has always been a staple in our home. As little kids, my brother and I had coffee (with lots of milk) for breakfast every morning ... just what my brother needed!!! He was hyperactive as is without the extra caffiene!!!! Well, that's a whole different subject we'll definitely touch on later.

Front cover

Inside

Card information:

Being a huge chalk fan, I used SU's pastel chalks for this card. I stamped the "Coffee Girl" with SU's markers. I outlined the picture with a gold glitter pen to add a touch of elegance. I also used SU's "Like a Latte" coffee beans stamp as the background.

My Doggy, Mamma Mia!

Well, it's time to introduce my sweet, loving bow-wow doggy. My 9 year old daucshund, Mamma Mia, is the sweetest most loving dog in the whole wide world! I got her on Mother's Days 9 years ago and she's been my precious baby ever since. She loves her mommy, her greenies, and the camera (just like her mommy!).

Our Wedding

I have yet to post my stamping projects. I'm having too much fun introducing my loved ones. As I was thinking about my next posting, my wedding day came to mind. Below are a couple of photos of my wedding day. I promise to start posting my stamping projects soon, real soon!

Our Wedding Day

Husband and Wife

Today we begin the rest of our life
Together forever as husband and wife.
Our dreams came true, with love and more—
Adventures to have and the world to explore.

We’ll share our joys, we’ll share our sorrows;
We can already see many bright tomorrows.
We’ll share our friends and family, too,
And you are part of that special crew.

Thank you for celebrating our wedding day.
As we share our vows, we just want to say:
These wedding memories will become a treasure,
And seeing you here is part of the pleasure.

Birthday wishes for my
nephew, Blake ...

My Birthday Wishes For You, Blake ...

I am sending birthday wishes
from far across the miles
tied with lace and ribbons
my special birthday smile.

Also hugs and kisses
wrapped in special prayers
happiness and laughter
joy beyond compare.

Wishing you warm sunshine
each day when you awake
peace within and harmony
with every step you take.

As you drift off in slumber
and nestle upon the clouds
know I am thinking of you
from way across the miles.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Blake!!!

With all my love, Aunt Pammy

Friendships

I have truly been blessed by the heavens above with the most precious gifts ever ... true everlasting angels, my ever so precious FRIENDS ...

KAREN, A FRIEND LIKE YOU

Everyone should have
a friend like you
You are so much fun to be with
And you are such a good person
You crack me up with laughter
And touch my heart with your kindness
You have a wonderful ability
To know when to offer advice
And when to sit in quiet support
Time after time
You've come to my rescue
And brightened so many
Of my routine days
And time after time
I've realized how fortunate
I am that my life includes you
I really do believe that
Everybody should have a friend like you
But so far it looks like
You are one of a kind!

by Natasha

MARGARET, MY FRIEND

From the day I met you,
I felt the connection,
Through your love, laughter,
Concern and affection.

True friends
We were to soon become
Sharing tears, secrets
And having fun.

A friend like you
Is hard to find,
someone so alike,
We almost share the same mind.

I hope for us
To never part,
As close as we were,
From the very start.

Graduation

May 26th was a very emotional day for Marty and I. My son, Robert, graduated from Fork Union Military Academy (FUMA). All his hard work finally paid off. Graduating from FUMA was no easy task. Robert put forth his best efforts and graduated with an advanced high school diploma, with college credits. We were joined by his grandparents; his girlfriend (Katherine) and her family; as well as his friend, Cammie. We're always proud of Robert. However, the moment we heard his name annouced and saw him walking down the stage with his diploma in hand, we realized just how proud we are of our Robert, who is turning into a very mature young man (versus our little "Bobby").

"Congratulations Robert. May you fulfill your dreams and enjoy life to the fullest. Remember, you can achieve anything you want, just 'go for it.' We love you very much. " - Dad and Mommy.

If You Believe
Your diploma means a future without boundaries,
A world that's full of energy and fun.
So as you reach for all life has to offer,
Remember that you're second to no one.
Pursue your goals, yet keep your loved ones close,
As you utilize your talent and ambition.
Let your friends and family give you their support,
And you'll master every challenging transition.
And always, Robert, know you can achieve
The things you really want, if you believe.

Newbie to Blogging

I'm a new blogger, so please bear with me. I have enjoyed reading so many wonderful blogs that I decided to create my own. Since I enjoy stamping so much, I thought I would dedicate this blog to stamping. I hope to have my stamping buddies join in and enjoy this blog with me. Please feel free to give me any suggestions as to improving this blog. I would like to make this a fun place for all.

Let me introduce myself ... my friends call me Pammy or Pamera. My hubby calls me Pammers. I live in Manassas and work out in Herndon. I love craft festivals, as well as wine festivals. My husband and I enjoy a good bottle of wine every weekend. We also truly enjoy our annual cruises. We've been to the Caribbean quite a a number of times and Alaska. We are in the midst of planning our 2008 Alaskan cruise with our cruising buddies. We are looking forward to planning our South American cruise in the near future (2009?? Maybe.).

I am a Starbucks junkie ... "double Venti, non-fat, no foam Latte" or the very yummy "Venti, non-fat, unsweetened Cafe con Leche." Must go everyday, because the Starbucks withdrawals are way too painful ... you true coffee lovers know what I mean!!

I'm also addicted to Borders. My family loves books, we're true reading addicts!! You can find us at our local Borders every Saturday sitting in the cafe sipping our hot lattes and reading our newspapers. Shortly thereafter, we're taking our weekly strolls down every book isle, picking our weekly selections that will soon find their way onto our coffee table back home. Just to find ourselves back at the cafe checking out each others selections, before heading to the checkout line with our Borders Rewards card in hand.
